Blight – Citation Advisory Board
The mission of the Citation Advisory Board is to define, prohibit and abate blights, nuisances and protect, preserve, and promote public health, safety, and welfare and to preserve and protect the economic well-being of the Town.

Board of Education
The mission of the Wolcott Public Schools is to develop in each student the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary for productive citizenship, including a personally rewarding quality of life, appreciation of heritage, and commitment to the ideals of democracy.

Civilian Police Review Board
The Civilian Police Review Board's mission is to receive, investigate and make appropriate recommendations to the Mayor and Chief of Police of the Town of Wolcott regarding complaints of citizens not excluding employees of the Police Department, against members of the Wolcott Police Department and/or civilian employees thereof.

Commission on Aging
The Commission on Aging helps all needs and conditions of elderly persons in the Town of Wolcott in relation to housing, economics, employment, health transportation, recreational needs, and other matters.

Economic Development
The Economic Development Commission strives to attract and retain businesses and manufacturers and to provide employment opportunities throughout the Wolcott area.

Individuals with Special Needs
The Commission for Individuals with Special Needs advocates, educates and supports the special needs citizens of Wolcott.

Inland Wetlands
The Inland Wetlands and Watercourses Commission regulates, enforces and makes provisions for the protection and preservation of the Town’s wetlands and watercourses.

Library Board of Directors
It is the mission of the Wolcott Public Library to provide and promote open and equal access to the resources and services of the library in order to meet the information, educational and cultural needs of the community.

Parks – Acquired Facilities
The Parks and Recreation and Acquired Facilities Commission's purpose is to preserve and protect said land and its facilities for the benefit of the townspeople, and to make said land available for public use and enjoyment; except that the Commission shall not have authority over any recreational facilities which have been designated by ordinance.

Planning & Zoning
The Planning and Zoning Commission is a five member board (plus 3 alternates), which acts on applications for development and makes recommendations on comprehensive planning.

Sewer & Water
The Commission shall undertake the study of municipal sewer and water facilities for the Town of Wolcott or any subdivision thereof and implement such studies and supervise the construction and maintenance of facilities when said facilities come into being.

Town Council
The Wolcott Town Council is the legislative body and fiscal authority of the Town of Wolcott. The Council is an elective body consisting of nine members; with three members from each of the Town's three voting districts.

Veterans Advocacy
The Veterans Advocacy's mission is to provide for the advancement of, and assistance to, veterans and their dependents related to reemployment, education, rehabilitation and adjustment to peacetime living. To assist with securing services and benefits to which a veteran or his/her dependents may be entitled. To conduct celebratory and memorial events to commemorate national and state holidays to honor active military and veterans.

The Zoning Board of Appeals hears and decides upon appeals and special exceptions and determines the application of the zoning bylaws, ordinances or regulations.
