
Our honorary chairman is Rear Admiral (RAdm) Kevin Delaney who died of Agent Orange related lung cancer in 2015. RAdm Delaney was a 1964 graduate of Wolcott High School and a 1968 graduate of the United States Naval Academy. He volunteered for Vietnam as a helicopter pilot and flew 686 combat missions with the famous "Seawolves" helicopter attack squadron, supporting Navy SEAL and riverine forces in the Mekong Delta. Of his 98 awards and decorations, 64 were for combat action and included the Silver Star medal. He retired after 34 years of service as the most highly decorated officer in the U.S. Navy.
