Recording Fees

(Sec. 7-34a)

  • $70 first page, $5 for each subsequent page or portion thereof
  • Exception: Recording of documents by a Nominee of a Mortgage (i.e., MERS): $160 Flat Recording fee for Assignments and Releases of Mortgage where the nominee is Grantor; $160 for the first page, $5 each subsequent page or portion thereof if Nominee is Grantee.
  • $2 for each transfer of property reportable to the State.
  • $5 if the current mailing address of the grantee is not given.
  • $1 if names of those executing, witnessing, and acknowledging are not typed or printed under signature.
  • $1 for each marginal notation of assignment subsequent to the first two
  • $20 to file Maps
  • $30 to file Maps of subdivisions of 3 or more parcels

  • Copies of documents are $1/page
  • Use of battery-powered scanner: $20/occasion
  • Certifying documents or maps: $2 each
  • Copies of maps: $3 (small) and $5 (large)
  • Copies of minutes: $.50/page
