Our Mission Statement

The mission of the Town of Wolcott Tax Collector's Office is to administer the tax laws of the State of Connecticut and to uphold the Town Charter in an effort to collect the tax revenues in the most cost-effective manner; achieve the highest level of voluntary compliance through accurate, efficient and courteous customer services, and perform in a manner which instills public confidence in the integrity and fairness of the state's tax programs.


The Town of Wolcott 2022 Grand List mill rate is 31.87 mills. 

This means that for every $1,000 of assessment you will pay $31.87.

Tax bills will be mailed end of June, payment is due July 1, 2023. 

The last day to pay without interest is August 1, 2023. 

No Real Estate or Personal Property bills will be mailed for the January installment

Supplemental motor vehicle bills (vehicles that are registered after October 1st)

 are mailed in December.

If you have delinquent motor vehicle taxes and need to register a vehicle with the Departments of Motor Vehicle, payment must be made with cash, money order, or certified bank check for a release to be issued. If payment is made by personal check, a release will be issued to the DMV after 10 business days.
