2021 Referendum
All registered Wolcott voters are asked to participate in the referendum by casting their vote at Wolcott High School on Saturday, June 26th between the hours of 8:00AM – 8:00PM. There will be three questions on the ballot regarding the appropriation and bond resolutions put forth by the Wolcott Town Council.
An informational “open house” event is being held on Monday June 7, 2021 from 4:00PM-8:00PM at the Town of Wolcott Public Works facility located at 48 Todd Road. You will have an opportunity to see and learn more about the items in the bond package. Representatives from the Wolcott Volunteer Ambulance, Wolcott Volunteer Fire Department and Wolcott Public works will be there to answer any questions you may have.
The questions that will appear on the referendum are as follows:
QUESTION 1.
SHALL THE TOWN OF WOLCOTT APPROPRIATE $3,005,000 FOR RENOVATIONS TO THE PUBLIC WORKS BUILDINGS AND THE SENIOR CENTER, A NEW WHEEL LOADER AND SKIDSTER FOR THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT, NEW PLAYGROUND EQUIPMENT AT TOWN PARKS, REPAIRS TO WOODTICK PAVILION, AND THE RECONSTRUCTION AND REPAIR OF VARIOUS TOWN ROADS, ROADSIDE ELEMENTS AND PARKING LOTS AND TO AUTHORIZE THE ISSUE OF BONDS, NOTES OR TEMPORARY NOTES IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $3,005,000 TO FINANCE SAID APPROPRIATION? YES/NO

SHALL THE TOWN OF WOLCOTT APPROPRIATE $5,740,000 FOR A NEW AMBULANCE FACILITY, A NEW ROOF AND HVAC FOR THE PUBLIC SAFETY BUILDING, A NEW LADDER TRUCK AND TWO (2) TANKER TRUCKS FOR THE FIRE DEPARTMENT, A NEW GENERATOR FOR THE POLICE DEPARTMENT, AND A NEW GENERATOR FOR TYRRELL MIDDLE SCHOOL AND TO AUTHORIZE THE ISSUE OF BONDS, NOTES OR TEMPORARY NOTES IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $5,740,000 TO FINANCE SAID APPROPRIATION? YES/NO

SHALL THE TOWN OF WOLCOTT APPROPRIATE $1,410,000 FOR A NEW ARTIFICIAL TURF AND RUNNING TRACK AT WOLCOTT HIGH SCHOOL, A NEW HVAC CHILLER UNIT AT TYRRELL MIDDLE SCHOOL, AND REPAIRS TO THE BLEACHERS AT WOLCOTT HIGH SCHOOL AND TYRRELL MIDDLE SCHOOL AND TO AUTHORIZE THE ISSUE OF BONDS, NOTES OR TEMPORARY NOTES IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $1,410,000 TO FINANCE SAID APPROPRIATION? YES/NO
