Planning and Zoning Commission:
The Planning and Zoning Commission is a five member board (plus 3 alternates), which acts on applications for development and makes recommendations on comprehensive planning. The Commission is responsible for the adoption of the zoning and subdivision regulations. It is also responsible for assuring that applications for development follow inland wetlands regulations and reviews applications for development, updates and revises the land use regulations.
The Zoning Enforcement Officer, is responsible for enforcing the zoning laws and regulations, as directed by the Planning & Zoning Commission. Complaints of possible violations such as storage of multiple unregistered cars, outdoor storage of house trailers or illegal construction may be directed to the Zoning Enforcement Officer.
