The Junior Women’s Club of Wolcott is excited about hosting their fourth Touch–A-Truck fundraiser. The event is planned for Sunday, September 26, 2010, Noon – 4PM, at the Baseball Association of Wolcott (BAW) field on Nichols road in Wolcott, CT. Rain date is Sunday, October 3, 2010. The funds raised will support Toys for Tots and Teens, our local Scholarships as well as many other events and services we host throughout the year. All proceeds to benefit our community.
If you or someone you know that owns a truck or vehicle and would like to participate in this years event, please contact our Club President Doris Tolomei or any Junior member for for details.
Touch-A-Truck offers a wonderful and exciting learning experience for children, teens and the young at heart. All will be able to sit in the driver’s seat, climb on and touch: large construction equipment, utility trucks, fire engines, police cars, dump trucks, tow trucks and numerous other types of vehicles.
Imagine sitting in a Hummer, a Limousine, Army truck or maybe a camper or seeing the bomb squad vehicle!! The day will be sure to thrill the hearts of both the young and the old. While you browse discovering and learning about your favorite vehicles, you will be entertained by the sounds of music provided by Greater Bristol Auto Club. The little ones will have fun jumping in the Moon walk, provided at no extra cost throughout the afternoon.
Refreshments will be available for purchase all afternoon.
Admission is $5.00 per person or $15.00 per Family of 4.
Parking is free.
So come join us for an afternoon full of learning, imagination, entertainment, food and friends.
